Australia's Largest Rooftop Solar Installation

The University of Queensland

Ingenero recently completed Australia’s largest rooftop solar PV installation at The University of Queensland (UQ). Launched by the Queensland Minister for Energy and Water Utilities at the time, Stephen Robertson MP, on July 15th 2011, this impressive 1.22 megawatt (MW) solar installation spans four buildings and 11 rooftops at UQs St Lucia campus in Brisbane.

This vast project includes 5,004 solar panels as well as a high-efficiency concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) solar array, proudly donated by Ingenero, valued at $90,000. This 8.4 kilowatt SolFocus array is one of three installations of its kind in Australia, all built by Ingenero.

This flagship solar installation will position UQ as a leader in solar research and development.
