Steve McRae, Chief Executive Officer
Steve has 25 years of extensive operational business experience within the IT, data communications and energy industries in Australia and abroad. He's successfully run many communications and energy companies such as data communications company NetLink (US based), Energex Retail (at the time one of Australia's largest power retailers) and materials science company XeroCoat, which integrates technology into traditional and emerging solar module technologies. Steve's also been the founding CEO of a number of early-stage technology companies dealing with semiconductors, materials coatings and IT applications being delivered across the web. Two of these companies have successfully moved offshore and are now based in Silicon Valley, California.
Rodger Whitby, General Manager Generation
Rodger has 25 years' hands-on management and consulting experience in energy and commodity trading within Australia and abroad. He's helped pioneer crude oil exports from Australia and held various top management positions within BHP in Singapore. In Australia he's worked as Energex Retail's General Manager Energy Trading, establishing the company's wholesale trading capabilities at the start of the National Electricity Market and was responsible for renewable energy projects. Rodger has extensive experience negotiating Power Purchase Agreements, price reviews, long-term gas supply contracts, tolling agreements for gas-fired power stations, helping prepare power station projects for financial close and undertaking a broad range of other energy-related activities.
Andrew Pearce, General Manager Operations
Andrew has more than 20 years' experience in operations, network design and delivery, project management, supply management and billing within the telecommunications and energy industries in Australia and abroad. At Ingenero Andrew manages a broad portfolio - drawing on his significant knowledge of establishing and managing large scale networks across diverse geographies. Before Ingenero, Andrew held various senior management roles within communications company AAPT where he oversaw design, implementation and product delivery. Prior to AAPT, Andrew was the director of operations at Telewest Broadband (now Virgin Media) where he managed the design and implementation of the largest fibre/IP network in Europe, worth over £300m and covering 2500km across the UK.
