Ingenero donates cash and services to flood victims

In the wake of Queensland’s devastating floods, solar power supplier Ingenero has donated an initial $5000 to the Premier’s Flood Appeal and has launched a free damage assessment for solar PV systems to flood affected authorities and householders who have recently been affected.
CEO Steve McRae said the company had donated the cash because, “As a company based in Brisbane, the floods have had a personal impact on many of Ingenero’s staff and their family members.”
“Ingenero will assist authorities and households by sending an accredited installer on-site to assess damage to flood-affected solar panels and inverters. This service is available to Ingenero customers and non-customers alike where Ingenero has geographic coverage” Mr. McRae said.
“In addition, Ingenero will donate $150 for every large solar system sold and $100 for every smaller system sold until the end of June 2011.” *
“Our state has been struck by an absolute tragedy – one which will have a long-term impact on the lives of those in flooded areas. This donation scheme is our way of trying to make sure money continues to flow into the relief effort in the months to come.”
Mr McRae said Ingenero would continue to provide assistance and financial support in the months to come.
