Here's a handy checklist, compiled from questions featured in Choice Magazine, to use when considering your solar options.
Yes. The Clean Energy Council (CEC) represents Australia’s clean energy sector. Ingenero is CEC accredited, which means you’re in safe and very professional hands. CEC accreditation ensures your solar system is designed and installed by experts who meet the clean energy industry’s best-practice standards.
Yes. All of Ingenero’s design engineers and installers are CEC accredited and registered electricians to ensure you get exceptional and professional service. Our engineers have diverse backgrounds in the industry and many years’ experience working with residential and large commercial solar installations.
Does the company have an established track record and a good reputation?
Yes. This is important if you want excellent service and good quality products. Ingenero has successfully designed and installed thousands of residential solar systems across Australia, as well as for many larger commercial enterprises. But don’t just take our word for it, read some testimonials.
Do the company's solar panels, inverter and mounting brackets meet international and Australian standards?
Yes. The CEC provides a range of standards that all good solar panels, inverters and mounting brackets must meet in Australia. You can rest assured that Ingenero panels, inverters and mounting panels meet the CEC’s strict standards. You can learn more about these standards at the CEC website.
Does the company offer a comprehensive onsite replacement warranty for a full 10 years on top of the manufacturer's 25-year panel warranty?
Yes. Ingenero offers an industry-leading 10-year warranty on solar panel and inverter defects, all workmanship and your system’s cables, mounts, racks, switches and connections. This 10-year warranty sets us apart from other solar suppliers because we know that the best quality installation and service is just as important as top quality parts. If a part of your solar system fails, you don’t have to worry about organising an electrician or contacting the manufacturer. Ingenero will look after the lot, from start to finish!
You’ll also get a 25-year solar panel output performance guarantee, which means your panels are guaranteed to produce at least 80 per cent of the rated output for 25 years or we will replace them at no cost. We also come to you so you won’t need to send anything away.

What does the company's system produce in kilowatt-hours of electricity every year?
The company selling you your panels should be able to answer this question.
At Ingenero, we choose our solar power systems for their quality and power output over their lifetime. Based on our research we can provide you with a reliable estimate of how much power your system will create throughout its lifetime. Maximum power depends on roof angle, orientation, shading, weather conditions and time of year. We can work all this out for you and design your system so it produces the most power possible.
What are the installation timeframes?
With many companies you can wait up to nine months before your solar system is installed. At Ingenero, you’ll be enjoying your free energy from
the sun sooner because in most instances we install within six to eight weeks of taking your order.
Does the price include connection to the grid by your energy distributor?
Yes. Our installers will connect you to the electricity grid during your installation and all costs for the physical connection are included in the price of your Ingenero system. In some areas of Australia, e.g. ACT, we are not allowed to connect you to the grid until the network provider completes an inspection. In this case we arrange for the inspection and, after approval and meter installation, make the connection.
Is the company likely to be around in 25 years' time?
Yes. Since solar power systems last so long, it’s important to know the company that provided your system will still be around in 25 years to honour your warranties. At Ingenero, we are confident we will still be here and so can you because:
• Ingenero is one of the few solar companies in Australia that’s backed by venture capital funding.
• Having met their stringent requirements, we are currently contracted to supply power to large government clients for over 15-20 year
time-frames.
• Ingenero holds a large portfolio of solar installations that range from small domestic units to large commercial installations in Australia.
What environmental credentials does the company have?
At Ingenero we ‘walk the sustainable talk’. We believe that everyone – including ourselves – should be aiming towards a greener and more sustainable environment.
To do this we work hard to ensure every Australian household and business can access the best quality and most affordable solar solutions available. We also implement sustainable business practices into our own operations. Ingenero’s management systems have been awarded ISO Accreditation in ISO 9001 – Quality Management, and ISO 14001 – Environmental Management. Ingenero is also working with Carbon Neutral to ensure the impact of our own business operations on the environment are minimised.
